“Moose test for Nehammer and ÖVP, which has so far rejected all FPÖ applications for the protection of cash”
Vienna (OTS) – After the ÖVP and Federal Chancellor Nehammer suddenly discovered the issue of cash for themselves, although the ÖVP has rejected free applications for the protection and receipt of cash in the constitution four times since 2021, FPÖ federal party chairman Klubobmann NAbg. Herbert Kickl today called on the People’s Party to convene a special session of the National Council together with the FPÖ as soon as possible. This should then include an initiative motion for the anchoring of unrestricted cash payments in the constitution, the constitutional protection of cash as a means of payment and form of wealth without upper limits, the preservation of cent and euro cash coins in their current stock, the constitutionally stipulated obligation to accept cash for the trade in goods and services and ensuring easy access to cash through sufficient ATMs and bank branches, in order to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible in accordance with the parliamentary procedure in a further meeting.
“Only for us liberals as the only stable force has it been clear for a long time: a ‘fortress of cash’ is needed immediately. So far, the ÖVP has not only rejected all of our initiatives to protect cash in the constitution, but also simply accepted the salami tactics of the EU elites in Brussels to abolish it – from the end of the 500 euro note to the EU proposal -Commission for the launch of the digital euro in June. That says everything regarding the non-existent credibility of Nehammer and Co. A special session would therefore be the last chance for the ÖVP to prove the opposite at least once and would also force the other parties, especially the SPÖ, to clearly show their colors as to whether they are in the interests of the citizens for the protection of our printed freedom and security are in good shape or are back on the side of the elites!” said Kickl.
Because the “mere plagiarism of long-standing FPÖ demands for PR purposes by a Chancellor and ÖVP leader fighting for his political survival” brings nothing to the population: “The Brussels elite has been doing away with the piecemeal abolition of cash not just since yesterday, but already operated for several years. Therefore, a liberal people’s chancellor would have known long ago what had to be done: Not just to talk, but to act in the interests of the citizens and thus not only to anchor the protection of cash and the right to cash payments in the constitution, but also to EU level as a protective shield for the freedom and self-determination of Austrians once morest the control mania there. And that is exactly what ÖVP Chancellor Nehammer, like his failed predecessors, grossly negligently failed to do and acted more as a loyal vassal of the Brussels establishment – at the expense of the prosperity and social security of the local population, the sovereignty and, last but not least, the permanent neutrality of Austria.
A special session is therefore also “an hour of truth” for the ÖVP. “If Nehammer and Co. are serious, then the ÖVP will agree. Anything else would once once more convict the ÖVP of the contentless announcement policy and the political theft of ideas, for which the Austrians have long since given up. Our homeland needs a chancellor and a federal government that puts the well-being and interests of its own people first, that they can rely on and that doesn’t throw sand in their eyes in order to turn once morest them in the spirit of self-appointed elites govern!”, explained the liberal federal party chairman.
