FPÖ – Kickl/Amesbauer: Over three million instead of 1.4 million euros operating costs in the federal asylum quarters! | Liberal Parliament Club

Austrians are hit twice by the cost explosion, while asylum seekers are attracted with a climate bonus

Vienna (OTS) “The operating costs of the 28 federal care facilities alone more than doubled in 2022. From around 1.4 million in 2021 to over three million euros. Rental and operating costs together increased to almost ten million euros in the previous year. All of this has to be financed by the taxpayers, who are already overburdened by the galloping inflation, because the ÖVP and the Greens continue to fuel illegal immigration instead of fighting it,” criticized FPÖ federal party chairman club chairman Herbert Kickl and FPÖ security spokesman NAbg today. Hannes Amesbauer, referring to a query from ÖVP Interior Minister Karner to the Liberal Security Spokesman.

“The black-green federal government is failing to combat the price increases effectively. Rather, it is fueling this development with its ‘no alternative’ spiral of escalation and additional tax burdens in the form of the CO2 tax. The Austrians get this madness double on the eye. On the one hand, they themselves suffer economically from this irresponsible policy and no longer know how to afford their lives. At the same time, they are allowed to bear this catastrophic price development for the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants from all over the world,” says Kickl.

“This is the next ‘slap’ for the taxpayers. Only recently did the ÖVP, SPÖ, Greens and NEOS decide on a hefty cost-of-living compensation for private landlords. Logically, the operating costs of the federal districts are also exploding. And as a particular impudence towards their own population, the economic migrants, who are generally provided for by the taxpayer and who usually traveled to the country illegally, also get the climate bonus thrown following them,” added Amesbauer.

“The ÖVP provides one incentive following another for criminal trafficking gangs and their customers to come to Austria and at the same time wants to fool the population with their alleged ‘asylum brake’. Enough is enough! The liberal 23-point package of measures is needed to finally replace this ÖVP asylum PR with an honest ‘Austria first’ policy,” Kickl and Amesbauer agreed.
