IHS stands for anti-social neoliberal politics
Vienna (OTS) – “It is probably significant when Holger Bonin, successor to the neoliberal ÖVP multi-minister Kocher at the Institute for Higher Studies (IHS), calls for the retirement age to be raised to 67 in yesterday’s ORF press hour. This ÖVP and its peers are driving forward social dismantling and exploitation of the population,” reacted the liberal social spokeswoman NAbg today. Dr. Dagmar Belakowitsch.
IHS stands for anti-social neoliberal politics, which is reflected every day in the ÖVP and the Greens. “This government is only interested in making servants of big corporations. The abolition of the ‘hacker regulation’ was the beginning, the increase in the retirement age was the continuation. If people want to work longer, they should be able to do so voluntarily. Appropriate incentives must finally be implemented in the social system. However, there will certainly not be an increase in the retirement age to over 65 years with us libertarians!” emphasized Belakowitsch and continued: “The inhumane game of ‘pushing back and forth’ between the Public Employment Service (AMS) and the PVA must finally come to an end. Anyone who is classified by the AMS as no longer fit for work should also be recognized as such by the PVA.”
Against the background that ÖVP Finance Minister Brunner pays out fabulous bonuses to his cabinet employees, but is faced with unresolved financing “on all fronts”, such fantasies are a mockery of everyone who can no longer finance their lives. “Brunner and his ilk should ensure that the horrendous inflation at least falls to the average level of the western EU countries, instead of continuing to worry regarding their own population,” emphasized Belakowitsch.
