ABU DHABI, 14th October / WAM / The Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi announced today the launch of the fourth edition of the University Fair within the Student Enrichment Programs, the annual event that allows Abu Dhabi students and parents to communicate with representatives of leading local and international universities, starting from the 16th to the 20th of this October. .
The event represents one of the largest university exhibitions in Abu Dhabi, and gives students from the ninth grade and above the opportunity to prepare for higher education, and to obtain valuable ideas and specialized advice to choose the universities, programs, and career paths that are appropriate for them.
This year’s edition of the exhibition, which is being held virtually, witnesses the participation of more than 60 leading universities from 15 countries in Asia, North America, Europe and Australia, including a number of elite universities listed in the QS ranking of the best global universities for the year 2024.
This year, the exhibition allows students to obtain practical expertise and experiences by attending live sessions held at Abu Dhabi universities.
Over the course of its five days, it will also present a wide program that includes more than 75 virtual sessions presented by representatives of elite universities from India, France, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, China, Turkey, Italy and Indonesia. These sessions cover various disciplines and branches, including arts, design, communications, entrepreneurship, and others.
The exhibition returns to continue the success it recorded over the course of its previous three sessions, as it attracted the participation of more than 10,000 students, both male and female.
This year, the exhibition witnesses the participation of a group of prestigious names, including the University of Pennsylvania, Boston University, the University of Toronto, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, the University of Hong Kong and the University of Melbourne, in addition to local universities and international educational institutions operating in the UAE, such as Khalifa University of Science and Technology, New York University Abu Dhabi, and the University of Melbourne. The exhibition also allows students to view the scholarship programs offered by the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Scholarships Program, and the Step Program, through communication with the universities and community colleges participating in the aforementioned programs, which provides students with an ideal platform to move on to higher education.
It is noteworthy that the exhibition falls within the university and career guidance program of the Student Enrichment Programs, which represents an extracurricular program designed to help students prepare for the post-secondary stage and professional life. The program includes many workshops, sessions, projects, and standardized test preparation courses, which enables students to explore their potential and interests and puts them on the right path to begin the new chapter of their academic career.
