The incident occurred due to the failure of a fan, which shorted and started the flames.
The victims were identified as: Yamileth Oviedo, 44, Yaileth Dresleidy Guedez, 28, Yaileth Guedez, 19, and Saúl Martínez, 5.
Meanwhile, the injured held in the Ciudad Hospitalaria Dr Enrique Tejera in Valencia and the “José Gregorio Hernández” Pediatric Medical Center, respond to the names of Saúl Antonio Medina, 68, and Daniel Martínez, 30, who have smoke poisoning. .
Given the situation, the mayor of the San Diego municipality, León Jurado, reported that his office will assume the funeral expenses of the Guedez Oviedo and Martínez Guedez families.
