The Attorney General’s Office obtained evidentiary material that accounts for the alleged participation of four notable members of the Arístides Manuel Meza Páez structure of the ‘Clan del Golfo’, in the crime of social leader Narciso Beleño Belaides, recorded on April 21. , in Santa Rosa (Bolívar).
This is Nicolás Giraldo Quintero, alias Cartago; Juan Carlos Castaño Cardona, alias Calvo or Paisa; Nelson Fernando Gutiérrez Arismendi, alias Malito or Matón; and Yenifer Barragán Correa.

Before a guarantee control judge, a prosecutor from the Special Investigation Unit (UEI) charged these people with the crimes of aggravated homicide; manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; and conspiracy to commit a crime. Alias Malito or Matón accepted the charges.

According to the investigation, the victim was entering the parking lot of his home and was attacked by armed men who shot him seven times. Previously, the social leader had received several threatening pamphlets in the name of the ‘Clan del Golfo’, in which they questioned him for the work he carried out as president of the Agromining Federation of the South of Bolívar (Agromisbol).
