Four African leaders on a peace mission in Ukraine

A delegation of African leaders, including South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, was in Ukraine on Friday for a mediation mission between that country and Russia, greeted in the morning by a Russian missile attack that targeted the Kiev region. The African mission began its journey with a visit to Boutcha, a suburb of kyiv where the Russian army is accused of having massacred civilians.

Malians are called to the polls, Sunday, June 18, to approve or not a new Constitution submitted by the military in power to a referendum. This vote is the first organized by the colonels since they took over by force in August 2020 the head of this country plunged into a security, political and economic crisis.

In Senegal, it is the outcry following the suspension for one month of the signal of Walf TV, deemed critical of power. After the riots which killed at least 23 people in the country according to Amnesty International, the government decided to interrupt the broadcasting of the programs of the private channel, accused of having broadcast hateful and violent remarks threatening public security. A decision contested by television.
