Four 90s and Hogwarts Legacy only in 16th place

In our Outlook on the potential gaming highlights of the second half of 2023 we have already pointed out how many great games have been released in the past six months. The freshly published version also shows how good the gaming year is already Top 20 list of Metacritic executiveswhich lists the 20 games that garnered the highest average press ratings between January 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023.

At least seven reviews had to have been documented for the games. In addition, all content expansions, multi-game compilations and simple remaster versions that only slightly optimize the technology were not taken into account. Also note that in the case of multi-platform games, the version with the most reviews was always taken (which is why the Xbox only appears once as the platform).

What we notice:
