Nowadays, photography acquires the format of communication with images in social networks. The motive of discovery is important both in creativity and in everyday life.
The participants of this year’s “Photography Weekend” were selected by a competent jury: photographer, VDA postdoctoral trainee Dovilė Dagienė, Doctor of Humanities, photography historian and cultural researcher Margarita Matulytė, Curator, contemporary art market expert. The founder of TEMA Projects and Art Club, Justė Jonutytė, photographer Remigijus Treigys, documentary photographer Tadas Kazakevičius.
A unique opportunity to purchase works by authors
During the event, it will be possible to purchase photographs directly from the authors themselves.
The goal of “Photography Weekend” is to bring together a new generation of collectors in our country so that the works of Lithuanian photo artists remain in their collections.
It’s like an invitation to get to know the authors, to chat and take a new look at purchasing photographic prints.
Visitors and spectators are invited to the National Art Gallery on Saturday until 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday – from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Photography Weekend is free and open to everyone.
