Forza Motorsport PC System Requirements Revealed; DLSS, FSR and DirectStorage will be supported at launch

Forza Motorsport, the sequel to Forza Motorsport 7is scheduled for October 10 on PC and next-gen consoles. Those with cash to spend can play the game starting October 5 by pre-ordering the Premium Edition of the game at priced at US$99.99 the Premium Edition of the game for $99.99. Developer Turn 10 Studios has just revealed the PC-specific specs and system requirements to run the game.

Unlike a certain Bethesda title that will launch in September, Forza Motorsport supports DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2.0, as well as DirectStorage. Other benefits include shader caching, unblocked refresh rates, and support for ultrawide monitors. Cross-platform play is enabled, but frame rate is locked in multiplayer matches to maintain parity between different hardware.

Forza Motorsport supports a wide range of controllers, as well as certified racing wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster and others. Check out the official blog for a full list of supported models. Unlike many AAA games released this year, Forza Motorsport is relatively lightweight and can run on many previous-gen PCs.

The minimum system requirements for Forza Motorsport are: AMD Ryzen 5 1600/Intel Core i5-8400, Radeon RX 5500 XT/GeForce GTX 1060, 8GB RAM and 130GB disk space. While an SSD is recommended, those with a mechanical hard drive should be fine with DirectStorage. For a high-end experience, you need an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X/Intel Core i7-11700K, 16 GB of RAM, a GeForce RTX 4080/Radeon RX 7900 XT and an NVMe SSD.
