The Forza Horizon 5 series 9 has been available for a little over a week now. But aside from the new cars and tweaks, there’s one thing that wasn’t mentioned in the developer notes and yet seems to play a major role in driving, and that’s vehicle physics.
The physics of Forza Horizon 5 completely turned upside down
The community quickly noticed that something had changed in the behavior while nothing is specified in the patch notes of the update. And yet, the new vehicle physics look distinctly different from what we were used to.
The video below is pretty self-explanatory and shows how much easier it is now to flip or spin around corners. In all likelihood, cars are much more prone to overturning or skidding around corners, whether on asphalt or off-road. We also notice a greater loss of speed than before during tight turns.
Overall, cars with a higher center of gravity (like a Jeep) are the most affected by these behavioral changes, and it seems to be an opportunity to achieve better lap times in off-road races. . You know what you have left to do !
