Since the beginning of the development of Forza Horizon 5, Playground Games has focused on l’inclusion and accessibility, allowing many people to enjoy its racing game through various options and settings. The developers go even further and come fromintroduce sign language in cutscenes.
As Chris Robinson of DeafGamersTV in the video above, written English andASL (American Sign Language) are two very different languages, and it’s a real gymnastics to read the subtitles during cutscenes. Now, deaf and hard of hearing people can enable sign language videos ASL and BSL (British Sign Language) in the options to more easily follow the cutscenes of Forza Horizon 5.
It’s a big step in accessibility for video games, but it only concerns theASL and the BSL, let’s cross our fingers so that the practice becomes more common, until we are entitled to LSF (French sign language) in the next installments of the franchise. With 18 million players for this FH5, there are people to please. You can find the racing game at €56.14 on Amazon.
