Can SK Vorwärts Steyr turn the trend around in the regional football league? After four games without a win, coach Markus Eitl’s team will face Gurten in the Upper Austria derby on Saturday (4 p.m.). “The performances were actually always good, but we were too prone to mistakes,” says forward coach Markus Eitl.

Above all, the poor evaluation of opportunities has been a problem for his team throughout the season: “We’ve been working on that recently.” In the Innviertel, his team wants to return to winning ways – even if it won’t be easy: “Gurten has an established regional league team. A difficult task awaits, but we are confident of something.”

Bitter: Before kick-off, a few shaky candidates gave the 48-year-old a headache: There are question marks behind the appearances of Milan Ziric, Jakob Kolb, Patrick Bilic, Bojan Lukic and striker Hamza Ech Cheikh.
