Forum for Youth Development between China and Central and Eastern European States

The China-Central and Eastern European (CEE) Youth Development Forum was inaugurated in Beijing on Monday under the theme of “Strengthening Innovative Forces and Promoting Youth Development Together”.

The First Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League of China, He Junke, conveyed that the People’s Republic of China and CEE countries have deep historical ties, complementary development advantages, requiring cooperation and common aspirations for revitalization. He called on all the world’s governments to prioritize youth development, innovate development concepts, working methods and cooperation mechanisms, cultivate a new impetus for global development, pool the strength of youth, to build a community human with a common future.

The representatives of youth organizations from Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia and Bosnia appreciated the efforts made by the authorities in Beijing in promoting youth exchanges and protecting the interests of young people, presenting the youth development policies of their own countries and other topics of interest.

The China-ECE Youth Development Forum is a part of the major youth exchange activity of participating countries called “Future Bridge” organized since 2017.

Next week, representatives from CEE countries will visit Beijing and the city of Cangzhou in Hebei Province, with the agenda focusing on the digital economy, history, culture and youth activities.
