Vienna – On February 28th of this year, Minister of Culture Werner Kogler and Secretary of State for Culture Andrea Mayer (both Green) invited to an industry meeting entitled “Forum Culture” in the Vienna Volkstheater. For a day, contemporary cultural and political challenges were discussed in panel discussions and keynote speeches were given. Artistic contributions rounded off the program. The goal: In a long-standing discussion process that Andrea Mayer started with representatives of the cultural sector, further steps should be taken towards a federal cultural strategy, i.e. guidelines should be formulated as to where domestic cultural policy should develop.
