Forty years after his death, Saint-Brieuc highlights Patrick Dewaere

Among the financial supports of the documentary Patrick Dewaere, my hero, the city of Saint-Brieuc has awarded a grant of €10,000 to Bleu Kobalt, co-producer of the film, and is organizing a three-day tribute to the actor, born in Saint-Brieuc on January 26, 1947.

That day, on the stage of the municipal theatre, his two older brothers announce to the public the birth of Patrick Maurin. But the future actor only lived a few months in Saint-Brieuc, before joining the Paris region with his family.

In July 2009, the municipal council of Saint-Brieuc unanimously attributed the name of Patrick Dewaere to the esplanade of the open-air theater in the Parc des Promenades, in the town centre.

Dewaere is also the name chosen to adopt a group of noise rock born, in 2018, in Saint-Brieuc. His musicians are also in contact with the second daughter of the actor, Lola Dewaere (Astrid and Raphaelle), who follows them on social networks. “She listened to our music and finds the project super cool. We invited her to our concert on October 5, at Small Bath, in Paris. She replied that she would try to come. »

From September 30 to October 2, Saint-Brieuc pays tribute to Patrick Dewaere. Complete program: www.saint-brieuc.fr
