Speeding, climbing, and shoulder slams are new features in Fortnite. These abilities allow you to charge without a weapon in your hands, climb walls, and smash doors after a charge, respectively. It is assumed that the construction was turned off precisely because of the addition of these mechanics – so the developers want to help gamers get used to the innovations faster.
When exactly the construction will again become available in the standard mode, it is not reported. According to information dataminers, the developers will return to the mechanics in a week. Up to this point, construction is available in the arena, as well as in competitive and creative modes.
