Formula E co-founder Alberto Longo has revealed he is in ongoing talks with Red Bull F1’s Sergio Perez and hopes he will switch to the all-electric series when his F1 contract expires. I’m here. In many ways, Formula E would be the perfect series for Perez to race following F1, as the F1 championship traditionally ends in July. That would allow Perez to spend significantly more time with his family. That time will be limited this year, with F1 planning a 24-race calendar. Perez’s future involvement in Formula E would be a win-win for everyone, except for him and the driver he replaces. Only time will tell if Formula E and Perez’s paths cross, but what is absolutely clear is that Longo is keen for him to make the switch to the series.
