Formula 1 | Verstappen reportedly made Perez pay for ‘deliberate’ Monaco crash

Max Verstappen ignored his team’s orders at the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix in retaliation for a “deliberate accident” which allegedly happened earlier this season.

The Dutch clan surrounding the double world champion poured out in the local media after the race and it should – take the usual tweezers – go back to Monaco to find the reason for this desire not to help Sergio Perez today at Interlagos.

What is this theory? Perez crashed in qualifying, causing a red flag, which cost Verstappen a chance to clinch pole position. Perez went on to win the race.

And according to these media Perez later confessed to team principal Christian Horner and consultant Helmut Marko that he crashed on purpose to cause a red flag. Why tweezers? Because Perez was 3rd behind the Ferraris at the time of the incident.

Again questioned by the media, Max Verstappen showed a sign of unease and admitted that he “did not forget”.

Verstappen a this “oui” when asked if a particular incident caused him to disobey, without clarifying if it was Monaco.

“I’ll admit we all sat down together before we came here to talk about what we need to do for 2nd place.”

“We put everything on the table. Of course, I understand from Checo’s side that they are disappointed but I also gave my reasons why I didn’t, about this something that happened. has passed.”

“That’s why we talked about it and I said on the radio that I had my reasons. We go to Abu Dhabi, Checo and Charles (Leclerc) are level on points and if he needs help there to finish ahead of Charles, I’ll help him.”

But is it Monaco? Verstappen replied: “It’s not necessary to talk about it in the media. But it’s important as a team to talk about it between us and we talked about the incident. Period.”
