On this race weekend, for the first time, more than 300,000 Formula 1 fans will be live at the Red Bull Ring – this means that Spielberg, as a venue, is playing in the concert of the greats worldwide.

Last but not least, Max Verstappen is bringing up to 40,000 Dutch fans to Styria this weekend – the Oranjes are an important basis for the current success of the Red Bull Ring, confirms Managing Director Erich Wolf, “because they simply bring momentum, a wave of enthusiasm effect. And that’s where other nations and fans of other drivers join in.”
60,000 fans were already at the track on qualifying Friday. There have been no tickets for Sunday for a long time, for Saturday there is still hope for those who decide quickly: “We have a practically sold-out Saturday, but there may still be one or the other standing or seated place.”
105,000 fans daily on the site
105,000 fans are allowed onto the ring area every day – that’s the maximum number of spectators, more is not possible, and that’s how it should stay in the future, Red Bull Ring Managing Director Erich Wolf wishes: “The future is secured; we have valid contracts and want to continue where we are this year. We want to improve the quality here and there.”

The Red Bull side will not reveal how long the contract with Formula 1 will run. The fact is: Formula 1 will outperform the Moto GP, which takes place in August, this time in terms of spectators: “But we will have a well-stocked house!”
Continuous development
The house – the Ring in Spielberg – will continue to be developed by Red Bull with gentle updates in the future: the heating and cooling of the buildings have already been made future-proof, and the site also has a sophisticated waste disposal system. The bus connections for fans to the ring area have also recently been improved once once more.
