Arriving in Formula 1 in 2019, Lando Norris was Kimi Raïkkönen’s opponent for three seasons before the latter retired last year at the age of 42.
The 2007 world champion, much loved by F1 fans, was of course not known for being very talkative and it was his atypical personality that made him such a popular figure in the sport.
And Norris made a shocking revelation that he never spoke to the Finn during the three years they were both in F1.
“I don’t think I spoke to him other than maybe ‘Are you okay?’ It’s a bit like when you pass by someone we don’t know very well.”
Norris admits he misses Raikkonen’s personality in F1.
“I miss seeing Kimi, especially in interviews and because of her personality. But other than that, no.”
“There are a lot of other cool people in the world and the current grid is exciting.”
