McLaren presented its MCL36 and the new livery sporting its F1 for the new coming season. Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo will continue to drive the Woking team this year as Formula 1 enters a new regulatory era.
The team presented the 2022 livery on a partially camouflaged MCL36, with James Key explaining that the team wants to preserve certain secrets. However, we were able to discover some characteristics specific to the car, such as the fairly wide engine hood, the front suspensions with tie rods, or even small fins at the level of the scoops at the front.
On the other hand, we discover a revised livery, with new shades of orange and blue. The sky blue, very often shown in recent weeks, is part of the livery, as well as touches of black, reminiscent of the Gulf livery, without it being the most important sponsor.
It’s not yet known when the MCL36 shakedown will arrive, but it will certainly take place before the Barcelona trials, which are due to be held from February 23-25. Until then, we will therefore have the opportunity to show you more images of McLaren’s F1 2022.
