Adrian Newey is considered the mastermind of Formula 1. His designs and ideas are the basis for numerous world championship titles and more than 200 Grand Prix victories in the premier class of motorsport.
The 65-year-old has been working for Red Bull Racing since 2006. This collaboration is now coming to an end. As the British BBC reports, Newey will leave the team because of the controversy surrounding team boss Christian Horner.

From 2021 to 2023, Max Verstappen became Formula 1 world champion. Red Bull Racing provided the best car in 2022 and 2023.
Neither Newey nor Red Bull were initially willing to comment.
Several interested parties
Most recently, Newey was linked to Ferrari several times. Aston Martin is said to have made him an offer. His contract with Red Bull runs until 2025. According to reports, there are exit clauses that might allow him to move at the end of the season.
The first reports that Newey would be leaving Red Bull came from “Auto, Motor und Sport”. The BBC says it has verified this report using “high level” sources at Red Bull.
