The FIFA adjudicatory chamber delivered its verdict this Friday.
A former youth coach in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been suspended for 20 years from all football-related activities following being found guilty of sexual violence once morest a minor, FIFA said in a statement on Friday.
Jonathan Bukabakwa, former Congolese youth coach in clubs in the Lipopo and Malebo regions (west) had been accused by the media “of sexual violence committed once morest minors within the Congolese Football Association Federation (FECOFA)”.
“Taking into account the various evidence collected during the investigation, the adjudicatory chamber established that Mr. Bukabakwa had violated article 24 (Protection of physical and mental integrity) of the FIFA Code of Ethics”details the instance in this press release.
This suspension was accompanied by a fine of 100,000 Swiss francs.
“This decision by the adjudicatory chamber is in line with the zero tolerance policy applied by FIFA towards all forms of violence in football” says FIFA.
The body also recalls having set up a specific online alert system “to report in complete confidentiality any problems relating to prevention”.
