Television cameras will not be allowed inside the courtroom following Judge Juan Murchan’s ruling, but five photographers will have access to take pictures of Trump and the scene before the hearing begins.
However, TV cameras will be allowed in the building’s hallways so Trump can talk to reporters there.
An indictment is a formal charge, including multiple counts of falsifying business records, including at least one felony.
This serious offense is punishable by imprisonment for one year or more.
Misdemeanors are less serious and are often defined as crimes punishable by a fine or less than 12 months.
Trump, 76, is being investigated for allegedly paying $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign, which he won. .
The money was allegedly given to prevent the two from discussing sexual acts, which Stormy says took place with Trump at a Lake Tahoe hotel in 2006.
Trump has denied any sexual relationship with Stormy Daniels. Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has said that the former president directed him to arrange the $130,000 payment to Daniels.
And Trump has admitted paying compensation to pay for it, with the Trump Organization logging the payment as legal expenses.
