The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (formerly the Unification Church), which has drawn attention for the shooting incident of former Prime Minister Abe, held an event with related groups in South Korea, where the headquarters of the church is located.
At the opening ceremony of the event held in Seoul, former Prime Minister Abe, who had sent messages to groups related to the cult in the past, touched on the passing of former Prime Minister Abe, saying, “He contributed to the movement for unification and peace.” As such, a time of mourning was set up.
In addition, former US President Trump sent a video message, saying that he was a good friend of former Prime Minister Abe, and expressed his condolences by saying, “Abe’s death is a great loss to the world.”
The event marks the 10th anniversary of the death of the cult’s founder, Sun Myung Moon, and will continue until the 15th.
