Former UFC champion Luke Rockhold ready for Karate Combat debut!

The former UFC champion Luke Rockhold continues his martial arts journey and now signs a contract with Karate Combat.

The former Strikeforce and UFC middleweight champion recently announced that he has signed with Karate Combat and will make his debut at Karate Combat 45 on April 20 in Dubai. Rockhold will then take on the former GLORY and Bellator fighter Joe Schilling.

Rockhold vs. Schilling is expected to take place in a weight class of 195 lbs, regarding 88.5 kg.

It is 39-year-old Luke Rockhold’s return to competition following signing with BKFC and making his debut once morest Mike Perry in April 2023. Rockhold lost his BKFC debut via second round TKO and said it was unlikely he would ever go bare knuckle once more.

Rockhold was expected to enter a grappling match once morest Craig Jones in September, but the gala was cancelled. 40-year-old Schilling returns to competition for the first time since he was knocked out Tony Johnson at Bellator 229 in October 2019. Schilling has found the most success as a kickboxer but has not been very active in recent years. However, he came to be in the spotlight in June 2021 when he knocked a person unconscious in a bar.
