Recently, Uli Jon Roth, former guitarist of the Scorpions, was asked about “Rock…”. The musician, who left the band in 1978, admitted in an interview for “The Card King Sports Variety Show” that he likes the song, but… he doesn’t like, to put it mildly, the lyrics of the whole thing.

– Well, I can’t stand the lyrics, but I think there’s a great, classic rock riff here. Creating a riff like that is really something. It’s unforgettable. To Rudolf [Schenkerowi – przyp. red.] applause is due.
When asked what he would change in the song, Roth replied: The title is great, but the lyrics didn’t appeal to me. As for the guitar playing, I think I would play a part that would support the song. I never did something that would destroy Rudolf’s songs. Quite the opposite. I think we got along great together. If I stayed in the band, I would play something that would support but fit the songs, of course..

First the 40th anniversary of the album, then a “regular” tour around Europe
This year, “Love at First Sting” will celebrate its 40th anniversary. To celebrate, the Scorpions will be playing the entire album live during their Las Vegas residency, which will begin on April 11 and last until May 3. During that time, the band will perform nine times at the Bakkt Theater.
Later, the band will continue their “regular” tour, including on the Old Continent. Let us remind you that the German band will also visit our country this year. Scorpions will be one of the stars of the new Warsaw Rocks event, which will also feature the band Europe. The whole thing will take place on July 26 at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw. Tickets are still on sale.
