Former Real Madrid star: Mbappe did not join the royal for a political reason

After the matter is over and Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe chose to stay in his club, and refused to move to Real Madrid, the matter still concerns the sports community, and everyone has spoken in any sports dialogue so far.

Mbappe was very close to moving to Real Madrid this summer in a free transfer deal, but he decided to extend his stay in the Princes’ Garden and renewed his contract for the next three years with the Parisian club.

And Jese Rodriguez, a former Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid player, believes that Mbappe did not move to Real Madrid due to a political issue.

Jese reveals Mbappe’s desire to play for Real Madrid

Jese explained during his statements to the Spanish radio “Cadena Ser”: “I was very surprised that he did not join Real Madrid, Mbappe told me that he was coming to Spain when I was his colleague in Paris.”

“I don’t know why he didn’t come. I think he didn’t come because of pressure outside football, because of a political issue from the French people,” he added.

“I think he was called by some people who don’t have to talk regarding football,” he continued.

He concluded his speech by saying: “If he wanted to make the best decision, whether on the sporting or economic level, he had to join Real Madrid, but he made the decision that suits him.”

It is noteworthy that Mbappe signed renewal contracts until the summer of 2025, and the financial details of the deal were not announced, but some reports indicated that Mbappe received 100 million euros as a signing bonus, and he receives a salary of up to 50 million euros annually.
