(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Lim Hyeong-seop = U.S. President Joe Biden, who is visiting South Korea, is scheduled to hold a phone conversation with former President Moon Jae-in on the 20th.

The Chosun Ilbo reported on the same day that the two sides were planning to call each other on the followingnoon of the 21st, citing a passport official.

However, an official from the former president’s side declined to comment on this report, stating only that “there is nothing to confirm.”

Previously, the Blue House said that a meeting between President Moon and President Biden was in progress, but the meeting failed.

Earlier, when news of President Biden’s visit to South Korea became known last month, the Blue House introduced, “I understand that a meeting between President Moon and President Biden is in the process of being pursued.”

However, on the 19th, the day before his visit to Korea, President Biden’s side notified former President Moon that the meeting had become difficult.
