and following facing many problems and pressures Musharraf agreed to step down as army leader. Following the suspension of the country’s constitution and the declaration of a state of emergency in November 2007, which resulted in a ban on all political activities. And when Pakistan held parliamentary elections in February 2008 in which Benazir Bhutto’s party won, Musharraf was impeached.
