India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi are currently the best pace bowlers in world cricket. In terms of performance, both are almost equal. However, former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has come out with the opinion that Bumrah will not come anywhere near Shaheen Afridi. “Shaheen is very good, Bumrah will never come close to him,” said the former star in an interview with Pak TV. When asked who is the best among Pakistani players Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Shaheen, the answer was that all of them are the best.
Bumrah is resting due to injury. The 29-year-old has played 30 Tests for India and has taken 128 wickets. The player took 121 wickets in 72 ODIs and 70 wickets in 60 Twenty20s. However, Shaheen, a left-arm pacer, has taken 99 wickets for Pakistan in 25 Tests. The 22-year-old has taken 62 wickets in 32 ODIs and 58 wickets in 47 Twenty20s.
Captain Rohit Sharma hopes that the injured Bumrah will play in the last two of the four-Test series once morest Australia. The star has not been able to play since last September.
