**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, Wasim. Congratulations on your appointment as the ambassador for the polio campaign. Can you share your feelings about this new role?
**Wasim Akram:** Thank you! It’s truly an honor to serve as the polio ambassador. Polio is a disease that affects not just individuals but entire communities. Being in a position where I can help raise awareness and promote vaccination is both a privilege and a responsibility.
**Interviewer:** What motivated you to take on this role, especially on World Polio Day?
**Wasim Akram:** Growing up in Pakistan, I have seen the impact of polio first-hand. Many children have suffered from this preventable disease, and it’s heartbreaking. I want to use my platform to encourage parents to vaccinate their children and to show that we can eliminate polio, but it requires collective effort.
**Interviewer:** How do you plan to use your influence to raise awareness about the polio vaccine?
**Wasim Akram:** I will be participating in various public events, engaging with communities, and utilizing social media to spread the message. The goal is to make sure that every person understands the importance of vaccinating their children and the myths surrounding the vaccine are dispelled.

**Wasim Akram:** My message is simple: Vaccines save lives! Polio is a disease we can eliminate, but it requires everyone’s participation. Check the facts, talk to your healthcare provider, and ensure your children are vaccinated. It’s our duty to protect them.
