According to the investigation, Muraev involved the TV channel “Nash” controlled by him to provide distorted information regarding the internal situation in our country.
In this way, he helped the aggressor in numerous attempts to destabilize the socio-political situation in Ukraine on the eve of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
In this regard, at the beginning of February 2022, the NSDC imposed sanctions once morest the Murayev TV channel.
Examinations initiated by the Security Service confirmed the facts of anti-Ukrainian activities of the person involved.
On the basis of the collected evidence, the former deputy of the People’s Republic of Ukraine is charged under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 1 of Art. 111 (treason);
- Part 1 of Art. 161 (violation of the equality of citizens depending on their racial, national, regional belonging, religious beliefs, disability and on other grounds).
The perpetrator faces up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The special service reminds that in the fall of 2022, SBU officers conducted a series of searches at Muraev’s residences and offices in Kyiv.
During the investigation, cash in Russian rubles, weapons, as well as computer equipment and mobile phones with evidence of criminal activities were found at the addresses of the suspect.
Earlier it was reported that a Russian spy was detained in Dnipro, who was monitoring Ukrainian air defense.
