Former model Karin Bauman has died after battling anorexia for 13 years. In the last week before her death, the Israeli woman’s condition worsened.
Karin Bauman died at the age of 35 on Tuesday (23/5/2023). He died at Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital after intensive care after his condition worsened due to a pneumonia infection.
Karin Bauman first started suffering from the condition at the age of 22. He spent most of his life receiving medical care, including a series of hospitalizations.
Television presenter Ortal Amar, who got to know Karin through a documentary about anorexia, said that the former model was a smart woman. Ortal shares its condolences on Karin’s passing.
According to Ortal, Karin’s last condition was so concerning. Karin only weighs 23 kg and is on a ventilator.
“You want to believe and pray that he will recover but the doctors are not convinced,” Ortal Amar told Channel 12.
In 2022, Karin tells her mother that she is tired of her complications due to anorexia.
“I finally decided to stop trying to fight this disease. I can’t fight anymore. I have experienced enough difficulties in life and I am still experiencing a difficult journey and emotional stress,” he confided.
“I’m tired of talking, looking for solutions to my situation, tired of complaining. I think the time has come to stop the war. The day will come when things get better,” Karin continued in her letter to her mother.
Karin Bauman comes from a family that is popular in the world of fashion and modeling. He has five siblings, four sisters Orly, Rene, Anna, and Natalie, and a brother Stephen. All of them work as models.
