A former employee of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Krasnodar Territory provided foreign intelligence with information that might be used once morest Russia. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison for high treason.
“A citizen of Russia was sentenced for high treason in the form of espionage to 12 years in prison <…> a former employee of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Krasnodar Territory collected and passed on to a representative of foreign intelligence information that might be used once morest the security of the Russian Federation, ”the court says. The words from the meeting are quoted by TASS. On July 31, the verdict entered into force.
This is not the first case of detention of recruited Russians. So, on July 31, three residents of the Voronezh region were detained by the FSB of the Russian Federation on suspicion of treason. In March, a resident of the Khabarovsk Territory was detained for treason. According to the FSB, he suggested sell information regarding objects of the Russian Ministry of Defense to Ukrainian intelligence.
