SV Wehen Wiesbaden has signed central defender Felix Luckeneder. The 30-year-old central defender, who has been under contract with LASK for the past few years, is moving to the red and black team on a free transfer.

“We are very happy to have convinced such an experienced player as Felix of our path after good discussions,” said SVWW head coach Nils Döring. “He has a balanced mix of cleverness and toughness in tackles, has good timing in tackles and has a strong left foot, which gives us several options in opening the game.”

Since the 2017/18 season, the 1.90 meter tall left-footer has played a total of 156 games in the top Austrian league for SCR Altach, TSV Hartberg and LASK (9 goals, 5 assists). In addition, he has played 26 games in the ÖFB Cup (4 goals, 2 assists) and ten international matches in the Europa League and Conference League.

“The club tried hard to get me and I always wanted to play abroad. That’s why the decision to join SVWW was very easy for me,” says Felix Luckeneder. “The 3rd division is a really interesting league, both in terms of sport and spectator numbers. I’m looking forward to the new team and want to get to know all of my teammates quickly. My goal is to play as many games as possible, to give it our all as a team and to be as successful as possible.”
