Former Federal Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi joined the People’s Party

Former federal minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi announced joining People’s Party after meeting with Asif Zardari.

After the Election Commission released the election schedule, the process of political activities in Governor House Peshawar has intensified and various political, social and religious leaders are joining political parties.

PPP Balochistan leader Jamal Raisani met President of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari at Zardari House in Islamabad.

On the occasion of Jamal Raisani’s meeting with Asif Ali Zardari, People’s Party leader Farid Raisani was also present where these leaders discussed the political situation of Balochistan.

Apart from this, the famous religious scholar and former Federal Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi met former President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad and announced joining the People’s Party.

Religious scholar Ahmad Saeed Kazmi was also present in the meeting and he also announced to join the People’s Party. Nayyar Bukhari, Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood and Abdul Qadir Shaheen were also present on this occasion.

Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Hamid Saeed Kazmi and Ahmed Saeed Kazmi along with other comrades on joining the People’s Party.

It may be recalled that Hamid Saeed Kazmi and others were accused of embezzlement, corruption and loss of billions of rupees to the national exchequer in the year 2010 in Hajj arrangements and were indicted on May 30, 2012 for corruption.

In June 2016, Islamabad’s Special Judge Central Malik Nazir Ahmed sentenced former Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi to 16 years in prison for being found guilty in the Hajj corruption case.

However, on March 20, 2017, the Islamabad High Court acquitted former Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi, former Director General (DG) Haj Rao Shakeel and former Joint Secretary Raja Aftab in the Haj corruption case.
