Ambassador Nabila Makram, the former Minister of Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, and the founder and chair of the Board of Trustees of the “Fahem” Foundation, announced her choice to be a member of the World Federation for Mental Health, explaining that it is an international non-governmental organization that talks about mental health awareness and looks with interest for all citizens who suffer from illness. She added, during her meeting with the journalist Hamdi Rizk, on the “Nazra” program broadcast on Sada Al-Balad channel, that it is a good step for the institution, and it is scheduled to learn about global experiences, noting that the ordeal she went through made her try to meditate on the wisdom of our Lord in affliction after her son’s crisis. “I worked on myself and my ordeal and said I will not let anyone be exposed to the situation I am in, or the situation of my son.”

Ambassador Nabila Makram also confirmed that her tears have not dried yet, and her heart is broken for her son: “I have a strong belief in our Lord, and I am confident that He will not let me down in my son, because before the ministry, I was serving in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, extending a hand of help and goodness to all people.”

And she said: “I got the affliction, and I know that our Lord has wisdom in this, and it is not punishment. He wants me to just work on this topic, and this is my son Rami participating with me in it, and we know people how to deal with mental illness, and the institution is working on this well, especially since a former minister has spoken out. And people knew the issue and the crisis of her son, and we will offer and extend a helping hand to people.
