“Former customers” activists gathered this Saturday at Delhaize in Boondael and Hankar to carry out an action in support of the strikers.

A seventh”action in support of strikers was held this Saturday morning at Delhaize de Boondael, in Ixelles and Hankar in Auderghem. These two stores are among Delhaize’s top 15 list to be franchised in the coming months.

The Delhaize Workers Support Committee call “to the boycott of the sign in order to support the right to strike of those who are now called Delhaiziens and Delhaiziennes“.

Matthis Dartevelle, spokesperson for the committee, justifies this action: “If the stores are open today, it is not because the workers have decided to end their strike. This is because the management forced the reopening of the stores with the help of the law. Since the workers can no longer block the store themselves, we call on customers to show solidarity and boycott the brandas long as the social conflict is not over“.

In front of these stores, ex-clientswere present to go to the meeting clients with leafletsin order to inform them and convince them not to enter the store“.

If we can’t win this battle, or at least move forward, many more will be there. This is what you have to understand. They are attacking hard-won fundamental rights and dismantling everything. So we, we want to boycott the employers who exploits“, explains Monique, a former client and activist.

This Saturday, four stores were blocked in Wallonia this morning due to protest actions by employees.
