Sydney: Former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison (55) announced on Tuesday that he is leaving politics and entering the business world. He will resign as MP next month.

Morrison, who entered parliament in 2007, is a member of the Liberal Party. He was the Prime Minister during 2018-22. Morrison was the prime minister during the bushfires and covid that devastated Australia. He is also the one who canceled the nuclear submarine agreement with France and made an agreement with the US and Britain. He has also been blamed for holding many ministerial posts without informing the cabinet during the Covid period. He is a staunch supporter of the fossil fuel industry.

After losing to Labour’s Anthony Albanese in 2022, there was speculation that Morrison might quit politics.
