Former Audi CEO Rupert Stadler Sentenced in Diesel Scandal: Latest Update and Verdict

Five years following his first detention, the proceedings once morest former Audi boss Rupert Stadler for fraud in the so-called diesel scandal have ended. The 60-year-old was sentenced to a suspended sentence of one year and nine months by the Munich Regional Court today. He also has to pay a fine of 1.1 million euros. The ex-manager only managed to confess this year and admitted that following the exhaust gas manipulation in the USA became known, he was responsible for delays in the investigation in Europe. Two accused engineers were also sentenced to suspended sentences and fines. (awm)
