Former Argentine striker Carlos Tevez announces retirement from football

Buenos Aires: Argentine striker Carlos Tevez has retired from football. Tevez, a former player of the Boca Juniors club, has not played for the team for a year. Tevez decided to leave the club when his father died that day. The 38-year-old said he still has opportunities to play but wants to spend time with his family.

He has given all his inner genius to football. The actor clarified that he will not give anything anymore. Tevez began his career with Boca Juniors and ended his career at the club.

Tevez, who has performed brilliantly for Argentina, has also been instrumental in the rise of some of Europe’s biggest clubs. He also played for English Premier League champions Manchester United, Manchester City, former Italian champions Juventus and Argentine club Corinthians.

He has won 11 titles with Boca Juniors. Manchester United have been around for a while but have won six trophies there, including the Champions League. In Manchester, the attacking team of Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez was the dream team of the fans.

Tevez was at the forefront when Manchester City lifted their first Premier League title. He also won league titles in Italy.

Tevez has played 75 matches for Argentina. Tevez was part of the Argentine team that won gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
