A former “American Idol” contestant will be in court Wednesday morning after being charged with DUI in a deadly crash in South Carolina on Tuesday. Caleb Andrew Kennedy, 17, from Roebuck, is charged with felony DUI resulting in death, according to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway from the South Carolina Highway Patrol.Ridgeway said Kennedy’s 2011 Ford pickup was traveling north on West Murph Road in Spartanburg when it drove onto a private driveway and hit a building. Video below shows the building:Larry Duane Parris, 54, who was in the building, was taken to the hospital where he died at 3:45 p.m., according to Rusty Clevenger from the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office. Kennedy was also taken to the hospital. South Carolina Highway Patrol investigators were back at the home on Wednesday recreating the crash.
