[モスクワ 22日 ロイター] – Russian local authorities announced on the 22nd that forest fires that have been occurring since early August in the Ryazan region, located regarding 200 kilometers southeast of the capital Moscow, are intensifying.

Local authorities have declared a state of emergency. Evacuation orders were issued to residents of the two villages. Equipment and personnel were sent from Moscow to help fight the fire.

In recent years, forest fires have increased in Russia due to high temperatures associated with climate change. Temperatures are expected to soar to 32 degrees Celsius this week in Moscow.
