The government agrees on the line to be taken regarding the presence of foreigners in classes. “We need a ceiling for foreign students, 20% per class”, are the words spoken yesterday by Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini in an interview with Porta a Porta. And today it is the Minister of Education Giuseppe Valditara who delves deeper into the topic with a message that appeared on of Italians, if they will study Italian more intensively where they do not already know it well, if Italian history, literature, art and music are taught in depth in schools, if parents will also be involved in learning the language and Italian culture and if they will not live in separate communities. It is in this direction that we intend to move.”
Valditara himself had expressed another concept on the topic shortly before, once more with a post published on the former Twitter: “Inclusion can occur by assimilating the new arrivals on the fundamental values, those which are contained in the Constitution and which belong to the identity of those who welcomes, or by creating a melting pot society where everyone thinks and does what they want. The first society has an orderly and prosperous future, the second – warns the minister – faces disintegration and chaos”.
