Foreigners killed and missing since the Hamas attack on southern Israel
Many foreigners have been killed, injured, or taken hostage by Hamas since the movement’s October 7 attack on Israel.
Since then, more than 1,400 people have been killed on the Israeli side, according to the authorities, while Hamas fighters have taken at least 224 people hostage.
Hamas also announced that the ongoing Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip led to the killing of “regarding 50” hostages it captured in its attack on Israel. The Israeli authorities did not confirm this number.
The Israeli army responded with intense and continuous bombardment on the Gaza Strip, killing more than 7,000 people, most of them civilians, including regarding 3,000 children, according to a tally announced by the Ministry of Health of the Hamas government.
According to a count by Agence France-Presse, regarding 200 foreign citizens were killed, many of whom also held Israeli citizenship.

– The United States: At least 31 dead, 13 missing, and hostages – At least 31 Americans were killed, according to what the White House announced (Wednesday), without clarifying the circumstances of their deaths, while 13 American citizens are still missing, according to the American authorities.

There were 265 Nepalese students in Israel, 17 of whom were residing in Kibbutz Alumim (south), which was targeted by the Hamas attack.

– Spain: dead and hostage – A Spanish woman who also held Israeli citizenship was killed, while a Spaniard from the Basque region who was married to a Chilean woman was taken hostage, according to Madrid.
– Colombia: One dead and one missing – Colombia announced that one of its citizens was killed and another was missing.

– Australia: Dead – Australia announced the killing of an Australian citizen.
