A British man who climbed the outer wall of Lotte World Tower bare-handed was caught by the police.

According to the police and Lotte Corporation, a 24-year-old A was found by a security officer at around 7:50 in the morning on the 12th, climbing the outer wall of Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul with his bare hands.

At the time, the security guard reported to the police and fire authorities that “a foreigner was climbing the outer wall of the tower wearing only underwear.”

It is known that Mr. A climbed the Lotte World Tower from around 5 am.

The fire authorities arrived at the scene at around 8:05 am and installed an air mat in case of an emergency.

Mr. A continued climbing even following the rescuers arrived and reached the 73rd floor at around 8:50 am, and according to the guidance of the fire department, boarded the gondola and entered the building from the 123rd floor at around 9 am.

The police arrested Mr. A on charges of trespassing and are investigating the purpose of climbing.

Previously, in 2018, 61-year-old French rock climber Alain Robert, known as ‘Spider-Man’, was arrested by the police for obstruction of business while climbing the outer wall of Lotte World Tower without permission.

At that time, Robert had climbed to the 75th floor.
