Dammam: The Saudi Customs Authority has clarified the maximum length of stay in the country for foreign vehicles arriving in Saudi Arabia. After the deadline, the authority will impose a fine of 20 riyals for each day spent in the country. The Saudi customs official explained the inquiries into the importation of foreign vehicles into the country.
A vehicle with foreign registration will be allowed to stay in the country for three months from the date of entry into the country. This is the maximum period of legal stay. If he stays in the country following the expiry date, he will have to pay a fine of 20 riyals per day. However, the Customs Authority said the fine would not exceed 10 per cent of the total value of the vehicle.
