The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a press statement, Thursday evening, that it was following up with great interest through the Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Riyadh the developments of the case of the Egyptian doctor Ayman Abdel Salam Muhammad Rizk being shot and attacked with a knife in the Qassim region, where the consulate is following up around the clock. It is in constant contact in this regard, as well as visiting the injured Egyptian citizen, in order to check on his health condition.
The Consul General, Tariq Al-Meligy, is constantly following up on the developments of the case with the officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Emirate of Al-Qassim Region, who are making appreciable efforts in dealing with this issue.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented in its consular sector and through our consulate in Riyadh, continues to follow up on this issue, wishing a speedy recovery for the Egyptian citizen.
